602 Squadron Museum Association Committee Members met to commemorate Remembrance Day 2025 at the 602 Squadron Memorial at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum. This was the first time to feature the King’s Crown in the memorial wreath.

A civic reception was held at the Glasgow City Chambers on 12 of September 2025 to commemorate 100 years of No. 602 (City of Glasgow) Squadron Royal Auxiliary Air Force. The event was titled – A Century in the Air – From the Battle of Britain to the Future of Air Power.

8th of September 2024 – 602 Squadron Museum Association members attended the 2024 Air Chief Marshal Lord Hugh Dowding Memorial Service at Upper Annandale Parish Church, Moffat, with a wreath laying ceremony held later at the Dowding Memorial at Station Park, Moffat.

The Standard has always been regarded as a symbol of the spirit of the fighting unit and the consecration of a new Standard is a proud and ancient tradition. Due to the COVID19 lockdowns, there were no public Lord Dowding Memorial or Remembrance Services held. It was a challenging time for all. To continue showing their support, the 602 Squadron Museum Association paid respect with 80 Years Anniversary Battle of Britain face masks and private/small gatherings.
October 2019 – As part of the redistribution of objects following the closure of the 602 Squadron Museum, the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum hosted an exhibition focusing on Squadron Leader Archie A. McKellar DSO, DFC and Bar. The exhibition was displayed in the Conflict and Consequence Gallery on the First Floor of the museum.
