RAF Drem 1940
RAF Drem is now a former RAF Station located North of Drem in East Lothian, Scotland. It was used by both 602 and 602 Squadrons during the war and became an air defence fighter unit for the City of Edinburgh and the shipping around the Firth of Forth. It was from here that Flight Lieutenant George Pinkerton played his part in the first air engagements of the war the the Luftwaffe Ace Hauptmann Helmuth Pohle.
